Who is responsible for your information
This policy explains how iodo Marketing, a marketing agency based at Rua Paissandu, 549, Centro, Passo Fundo/RS, CEP 99010-100, Brazil, handles the personal information of people who use the iodomarketing.com website. iodo is the controller of this information under Brazil’s General Data Protection Law (LGPD, Law No. 13,709/2018).
Privacy questions and requests: contato@iodomarketing.com.
What information we collect
- Contact and consultation forms: name, email, WhatsApp number, company, service of interest, monthly media budget range and the message you write. When you arrive through a campaign link, we also store where the visit came from (for example, "instagram" or "google").
- Talent pool: name, email, phone number, city, portfolio or LinkedIn link, résumé, the position you choose and anything you tell us about yourself.
- WhatsApp: the buttons on our website open a WhatsApp conversation, a Meta service. What you write there is also subject to WhatsApp’s privacy policy.
- Browsing: essential cookies that make the website work (see the cookies section) and technical access logs kept by the server, such as IP address, date and time.
We do not ask for sensitive information, such as health information, and we ask that you do not send it through our forms.
How we use it and why
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare a proposal at your request, before any contract (LGPD, art. 7, V).
- To keep your application in our talent pool and contact you when a position opens, with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time (art. 7, I).
- To keep the website working and secure with essential cookies, based on our legitimate interest (art. 7, IX).
- To keep access logs for 6 months, as required by Brazil’s Internet Civil Framework (Law No. 12,965/2014, art. 15) (art. 7, II).
- To measure visits and campaigns and improve the website with Microsoft Clarity and Meta Pixel, only if you accept them in the cookie notice (art. 7, I). Clarity anonymously records clicks, scrolling and movement on the page, with form fields masked.
We do not sell personal information and we do not use your information for automated decision-making.
Who we share it with
Your information stays with the iodo team and with the providers needed to run the website:
- Hostinger: hosting for the website, database and email.
- Google: our website fonts are loaded from Google’s servers, which receive visitors’ IP addresses.
- jsDelivr: a network that delivers technical parts of the website (styles and scripts) and receives visitors’ IP addresses.
- Microsoft: with your consent, through Microsoft Clarity.
- Meta: when you click to chat on WhatsApp and, with your consent, through the Meta Pixel.
- Public authorities, when required by law or court order.
Some of these providers process information on servers outside Brazil, including outside Canada for Canadian visitors. These transfers follow article 33 of the LGPD and rely on providers that use contractual clauses and security measures consistent with the law.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries and quote requests: up to 2 years after our last conversation. If you become a client, for the length of the contract and any period required by law.
- Talent pool: up to 2 years after you apply, or sooner if you ask us to delete it.
- Access logs: 6 months.
- Cookies: for the periods shown in the table above.
After these periods, the information is deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
Under the LGPD (art. 18), you can ask us at any time to:
- confirm whether we hold information about you and give you access to it;
- correct incomplete, inaccurate or outdated information;
- anonymise, block or delete information that is unnecessary or handled in breach of the law;
- transfer your information to another provider;
- delete information handled with your consent, and withdraw that consent;
- tell you who we share your information with;
- stop any handling that does not comply with the law.
To make a request, email contato@iodomarketing.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, to protect your information. We reply within 15 days. If you are not satisfied, you can contact Brazil’s National Data Protection Authority (ANPD) at gov.br/anpd. If you are in Canada, you can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, in Quebec, the Commission d’accès à l’information.
How we protect it
The website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS). The admin area where messages and applications are stored is restricted to the team and password-protected, and résumés are stored in a folder with no public access. If a security incident could cause significant risk or harm, we will notify the people affected and the ANPD, as required by the LGPD (art. 48).
Children and teens
Our website is intended for businesses and professionals and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children or teens. If this happens, we will delete it as soon as we become aware of it.
Changes to this policy
This policy may change when our website or the law changes. The current version is always the one on this page, with the date of the last update at the top.
